Is It Email Marketing Strategies or Ezine Marketing Strategies?

Terminology. It confuses the best of us. Especially when we're trying to learn something new. Email marketing does not differ much from the buzzwords 'ezine marketing' of five years ago. The primary difference is that ezine or newsletter marketers would fuss and carry on newsletter after newsletter over things like design, # of words, # of topics, and so on.

What we're really interested in for this course is providing value to your readers through content - font colors and fancy backgrounds are irrelevant - that in turn rewards you for your efforts.

Lose all the minor angst factors and recognize what you're about to do and why you're doing it. You can worry about layout and color and content length once you start making some money and have time to fuss with all that.

How I Got Started with the Email Marketing Strategy Here

Here's my journey with email marketing - hopefully yours will be the same or better.

Using a website with a subscribe form I collected a list of people with similar interests to mine. If you don't have a website yet then you're on the wrong webpage - visit Set Up A Website. 

It took two months for me to see how much money could be made,and how easy it was to automate the strategy.

In about 5 months I stopped searching for other ways to make money online and focused my efforts on helping the people on my list.

Today I spend a large part of my days researching products, tools and services - understanding and testing each of them first - and sending out emails of my findings.

Essentially I work at what I love and by passing on the information, I am financially rewarded by some of my readers should they buy on my recommendation.

Now you're going to learn to do it.

It's really not hard at all, it doesn't cost much to get started (as a matter of fact if you're dead broke you can still do this!), and you don't need to be an English major to write emails (trust me!).

Certainly any part of it that is difficult is in the learning curve. Once you've passed over that hump you'll be on your way to making more money.

Here's your list of prerequisites to having this email marketing strategy work for you:

• You need a website. Let's not put the cart before the horse. (Yes, there is a way to build a list and publish an ezine without a website, but I'm not teaching that today). If you want to benefit from this course, you must have a website. If you don't have a website then buy an existing site here, or learn how to create your own site here.
• You will need to have email management software or a subscription to a service that manages a database of names and email addresses. We'll discuss these later in the course (most are cheap and some are free, but seldom is the free option the best option).
