Making Money with Blogs – 2
How Can You Make Money with Your Blog? Adsense!
Google’s Adsense is a super easy way to make money with your website or blog.
If you’re new to the ‘make money online’ world and have just started a blog to test your online money-making potential you may be apprehensive at first to add Adsense to the mix, but once you see the automated income you’ll quickly change your tune.
How do I know? Because I was just like you!
The first question usually asked is: “Why would I want to display ads that take my readers away from my site and only make me a few pennies when they leave?”
Here’s some suggestions…
- write engaging copy so they don’t leave too quickly, but…
- get their email address before they leave so you can bring them back to the website when you’ve written something new,
- realize that they’re going to leave sometime – they’re either going to click the X button in their browser window (no money) or they’re going to click an ad (some money) and leave.
Now, there’s a good way to make money on your blog with Adsense and there’s an even better way to make money with your blog with Adsense!
What’s the better way?
I’ll tell you in a minute, first I want to show you something.
My Adsense earnings – before and after I learned the better way to make money with Adsense on my blog.
Anyone who’s been making money online with Adsense for a while may shout, “You’re not allowed to show your Adsense earnings!”
But the truth is that last month Google changed it’s policy on this. You can read it here: https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms where it states “…you may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program…”
So here you go…
A screen capture of my Google Adsense earnings.

Perhaps that looks pretty sad to you, but to me it is easy gold from a site that doesn’t make much money to begin with. What’s better is that my online product sales didn’t drop at all during the adsense increase and neither did my page rank.
Go figure. More money on a sleeper site with a one time ’set it and forget it’ effort.
You can see that in December and January I was fumbling around with Adsense on my own.
But in early February I discovered a secret money-making weapon…
It’s April now and my Adsense revenue is climbing – sometimes up to $20 a day for that sleeper site. Just consider having 10 of these sites, making $20 a day, and soon you’ll be leaving that Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, grind.
I’ll show you those stats another time, right now I want to tell you about the secret weapon I used to make that easy money – and make it climb!
The information isn’t cheap, around $80 if I remember correctly, but off of just one site I more than made that money back in a few days and you can too!
I read the book in an hour, made the suggested changes in less than an hour, and quickly went from making $12/month to over $400 now.
I’m loathe to tell you to put it on your credit card (because credit card debt drives me wild), but in this case you’ll have made money on your investment before that credit card bill comes in.
Here’s the link to the secret Adsense weapon. Use it and win.
And please, send me your success story!

The Adsense links take visitors off your site!
Yes, they do.
But your visitors are going to leave sometime…
If you have a content site, use Adsense for income. Period.
It’s great for regional info sites as well…
i.e. a Canadian girl did a search for fly-fishing techniques and a great resource page that had top ranks in google came so she clicked through. Ah, too bad it was in Tasmania!
Even though that Canadian fisher-woman learned a lot on that site she knew she was never going fly fishing in Tasmania so she closed her browser window and left the site.
No revenue to reward the the site owner for their hard work.
However, if Google Adsense was on the site, she may have clicked an ad that interested her instead of closing the browser window.
Cha-ching. Into your account.
Make money. Whenever they visit. Just do it.

It is now 2009. I haven’t advised anyone to use Adsense as a primary monetization strategy since 2005. However, if you’re just starting out, and while you learn marketing and find affiliate products to promote, running Google ads on your site is better than no income at all…
