Not treating your business as a business is one of the for sure ways to stay part time and not have network marketing success. As an employee its easy to get in the mindset that I am going to just put forth a little effort since I am not getting paid what I am worth anyway.
That kind of thinking will make your business close down very fast. You have to kinda trick yourself when you are working your network marketing direct sales business. What I mean by that is tell yourself that you are an employee at home. if you don’t do what you need to do to hit your numbers then you are fired.
Some may say that it doesn’t take all that and I say you may be right. But most people right off don’t have the discipline to do what is right all the time so playing a little mind game does not hurt at all.
This is what I want to convey when I say treat it as a business. You work set hours each day on your marketing. Remember from article #2 we spoke on having an effective marketing system in place. Avoid and block off all distractions. Stay focused on the task at hand. Track all your marketing as well. If you don’t know where your leads are coming from then how can you know what is and is not working.
Set goals that you want to reach. You are literally the CEO of a potential multi million dollar company. You have to do the things that those type of CEO’s do. Learn from the best. Google is your best friend when it comes to researching them.
In order to really be a network marketing success story you have to guard your time with your life. Time is the most valuable commodity that you have. How you use it determines what you believe and the success or lack thereof that you will have.
A good thing to do is to block it off. Use an excel spreadsheet and color code the different activities that you need to do. You can have up there your work time, personal development, time with family, marketing, calling leads, workout, quiet time, etc. The key is to stick to it and not let anyone violate it.
If you follow the tips that I am giving you, you will be making great strides from going part time to full time in your home based business in no time. I have made many mistakes in the past and want to help you as much as possible to avoid them.
