If I shared it publicly or for that matter sold it, it wouldn’t be nearly as effective of a technique would it? Just think, hundreds of website owners – thousands even – all posting and pinging at precisely the moment google popped into weblogs…

And to be honest, I haven’t been keeping up with this info myself for about 3 months. It changes all the time and I haven’t been launching any new sites with problems getting indexed.

There is only one person I know of that even teaches how to do this…

The short answer to how this increases traffic is that new posts get indexed faster by the search engines.

Each ping registers your new post and url of that post.

Search engine spiders and bots check the ping pages numerous times throughout the day, then drag themselves over to your blog to chew on the new content.

There are techniques to doing this effectively (one of which is adding more ping engines to your list as above), and of late people are saying that posting and pinging isn’t near as effective as it was 6 months ago.

Let’s just be clear. Posting and pinging is just as effective as before but due to the large number of blogs online now you’ve got to be real smart about the process!

First, your content must be topic targeted and keyword rich.

Secondly you want to know the time that the bots are known to be at any given ping engine. (Staying on top of that for me is one of the things I miss most about Revenue Insider.)
