Article marketing on the article directories is a two fold process. In the body of the article you give – good, useable information. In the resource box you are ready to receive – the readers clicking through to your web site to become visitors, subscribers, prospects and customers.

Many people falsely believe that the resource box is the place to tell the reader all about you and your many accomplishments so they will know you are the expert.

To this notion I offer a loud and hearty NAY!

The first reason I say NAY! is because if you have not demonstrated in the article body that you are an expert, it is way too late to try to do so in the resource box, and the reader probably did not get as far as your resource box anyway.

The second reason I say NAY! is because the resource box is Not About You, hence the strongly spoken word NAY!

An invitation for THEM!

Your resource box is not the place for a virtual ego wall to tell the reader all about your accomplishments, books, and degrees, etc. In most of mine, if I mention my name at all, it is only at the very end of the resource box.

Your resource box is all about the reader and what more they can learn from you and your resources. The purpose of your resource box is to invite the reader into your world by clicking through to your web site or blog and offering them something of value that will improve their lives. Offer them something of value and you can get a very loyal and responsive new prospect.

In the writing business, especially article marketing, the one thing you cannot afford is to be too attached to any one article that you write. This can kill your potential for earning any income. You must continue to write even when you think you have just cranked out the best article in the history of article marketing existence.

No matter what anyone may say, regardless of how you feel, you must write massive amounts of articles in order to succeed in article marketing. I have learned this the hard way and I want to spare you the time, effort and headache. You cannot become hung up on one or two articles and believe you will make a living.

Of course, there is always an exception to every rule. There might be one guy or gal out there(I cannot believe I just wrote that) that has only written a few articles and *hit the bigtime*, but this is exceedingly rare. One thing to consider when you are writing your articles is that the very article that you are writing might never see daylight. So it stands to reason that if spend an hour and a half on it and it doesn’t even make the cut your out that time & effort.

Third, establish a time and an environment for your writing. I turn off the television, the phone ringer and anything else that might distract me from my authoring efforts. Choose the same time every day or every week and stick to that schedule. For example, my time is in the morning immediately after my first cup of coffee. I write every day, because I have discovered that I am most efficient when I write just two hours at a time rather than, for example, writing twice a week for five hours each time. Your rhythm might be different. Set up what works for you, but the key is to stick to that schedule.

Finally, don’t be in a rush to get your new article submitted. The time you have set aside is for writing, not for submitting. I let my writing rest for at least a day. When I come back to it, I’ll proof-read and edit my manuscript. Only then will I submit to my chosen directory. I use the submission time as a break from demanding tasks at other times during the day. I usually wait until I have more than one article to submit to a directory, because it is more efficient to make multiple submissions to the same directory while I am logged in than to go back several times a week or several times a month.

Article marketing is an essential ingredient in any Internet business’s marketing plan. It doesn’t have to be an ordeal, if you just approach it with the right attitude, at the right time for you and with an efficient sequence.

Or you can always hire a freelancer to write it!

The author is a busy Internet marketer who is writing something a great deal of the time. He frequently writes about e-commerce for the small business.

The majority of people I speak to about article marketing admit that it is actually the submission part of the process at which they get stuck.

It is time consuming and tedious to submit articles by hand or even with the help of software. Not everyone can handle such a thankless task, so I recommend you consider hiring a service to handle submissions for you.

There are many companies offering article submission services, so how do you decide who to hire?

Do some due diligence and ask about the service in forums about article marketing, ask an article marketing expert for his/her recommendation, and insist on getting references from any company that you are considering.

It is critical that you ask the important questions before committing to a submission service. The list below includes the basic questions you should ask before seriously considering a service.

1. Will they be using software or submitting by hand?

2. Do they offer complimentary proofreading or editing services?

3. Do they offer keyword research to optimize the title, body and byline of your article?

4. How long have they been in the article submission business?

5. How many sites do they submit to: newsgroups, directories, forums, blogs and individual sites?

6. Do they screen and submit to reputable article directories rather than blast your article to hundreds of worthless sites?

7. Do they open accounts at article directories and other sites when required?

8. Do they handle e-mail confirmations received from sites where they have opened an account for you?

9. How do they handle questions from publishers after your article has been submitted?

10. Do they have relationships with publishers?

11. Do they notify Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social media sites that your article has been published?

12. Do they bookmark your published article in social bookmarking sites?

13. How much does their service cost and what kind of payments do they accept (credit cards, PayPal, checks)?

14. Can they provide references and titles of articles that they have submitted so you can check the results in search engines?

15. Do they offer a multiple article discount?

16. Are they willing to sign a contract?

17. How much time will the process take?

18. What do they need from you to get started?

19. What kind of report do they provide when the submission is completed?

Pay considerable attention to the reputation of article submission services. Google their names and follow links to see what other people think about them, call their references, and make sure that they do not spam submission sites with unsolicited submissions or off-topic topics.

There is no shame in hiring a submission service to handle the tedious task of submitting. Just be careful when you choose a service and keep in mind that a quality service will cost more but you do get what you pay for.

In this article we are going to take a quick look at some article marketing techniques that work amazingly well….especially for people who are willing to be a little bit outrageous, ostentatious and even a wee bit “obnoxious” with their writing style….as being a bit controversial and creative with your content is almost always an effective way to amplify your results.

But listen up – I want to make this really clear – I KNOW some people will tell you otherwise. I know there are article marketing “gurus” that will you something different. But in MY experience, (and it’s really extensive in this area) the best way to get a bodacious amount of backsides to your site, service or offer is to stand out. To be unique. To be a wee bit on that creative curve of curiosity…where people aren’t exactly sure what to make of you..:-)

And yes, I know what you’re thinking right now:

“it’s easy for YOU, Ian. You’ve got killer hair, super white teeth and an ineffable, hard to define creative charisma that’s just exciting to be around”

And I’m not going to lie – you DO make an excellent point. And I appreciate your nice words, it means a lot to me when I hear the effect I’m having on my peers. Â

But the truth is, these strategies work for ANYONE who applies them, and if you’re willing to give them a chance, you’ll see they’re equally as effective for you.

To preview, paste the code up on your site, then add #chitikatest=mortgage to the end of your URL in your browser's address bar. Example: www.yourwebsite.com#chitikatest=mortgage. This will show you what the ad would look like to a user who is interested in "mortgages." -->

Technique #1: Super (duper) long titles: (I’ve tested this over and over again, and in the search results, my longer, verbose titles ALWAYS get more clicks on article directories) Key takeaway? Never say in 6 words what you can say in 16..:-)

Technique #2: Capitalize ONE word in your title. You don’t want to overdo this…..because you’re articles won’t be accepted. But one seems to be ok…and it’s also a great way to “call attention” to your content. (rather than someone else’s)

Technique #3: Content consistency. If you’ve got 3 tips in your article, make your resource box an extra tip. The same thing with ways. Or techniques. The less your links look like a pitch (or a separate part of the article) the MORE frequently they’ll get clicked. (and really, it’s all that counts)

Technique #4: Be confrontational, be funny, be controversial and NEVER be boring. Become a character. (or even a caricature..:-) People like to be entertained, and you can do it in a silly way that gets a smile, AND still gets your marketing message across to boot!

The bottom line?

Have fun, and don’t over think it! I love writing articles, simply because I have a vivid imagination, drink tons of coffee and have 3 more months of house arrest to go. If you can learn to truly “enjoy” your niche, and truly love to help people with theirs, there is truly nothing you can do with creative content online….and the best part is, it’s free!

I don’t do a lot of reviews of products. Know why? Most of them are garbage and I don’t like to review garbage. It gives me a headache. And when I get a headache, I get very cranky. You don’t want to see what I am like when I get cranky. Well, I’m not cranky today. Today, I am actually relieved that SOMEBODY has FINALLY put something out there in the way of an informational product that is actually worth selling. I’m talking about Nitro Marketing Blueprint. If you haven’t already seen it or heard of it, I’ll try to give you a general idea of what it is about.

Nitro Marketing Blueprint, if I may be sold bold to say so, is basically what I have been doing to build a 6 figure a year business for the last 4 years. The only difference is that when I was doing this stuff, it didn’t have such a fancy title. Don’t get me wrong…this is sound business planning and execution…but it’s nothing new. But, here is what it is.

It’s all in one place. See, I learned all of this stuff over the course of 4 very long and hard years. A little here, a little there…finally putting the last pieces of the puzzle together this year in March. That’s when my business REALLY took off. But it would have happened a lot sooner if I just had all this stuff in one place at one time. I’d probably be making double what I’m earning now. But that’s water under the bridge. I can’t cry over what was. However, for those of you just starting out…Nitro Marketing Blueprint is a must have if you want to cut through all the time intensive “hunt and peck” for information. It’s all in one place.

ch_sid = "Chitika Premium";
var ch_queries = new Array( );
var ch_selected=Math.floor((Math.random()*ch_queries.length));
if ( ch_selected < ch_queries.length ) {
ch_query = ch_queries[ch_selected];
}

Okay, so what exactly DO you learn from Nitro Marketing Blueprint? Well, there is no physical way possible I can cover everything. This isn’t some ebook. This is a real product delivered to your home. It’s massive. It includes books and DVDs. There is so much training here for starting and running a business that it staggers the mind.

They start right from the beginning with how to actually pick your business. They show you how to narrow in on a niche that isn’t going to have you banging your head against the wall because there is so much competition in it.

They then go into product creation and how to create a product line. They have what they call a box principal, that I’ve been using for years without realizing what it was. This is basically a flow chart of how your business will operate with each box representing a certain aspect. The more boxes you have filled, the more income you earn. Yes, it’s that simple.

They then go into marketing tactics such as what the best ways to advertise are. They cover them all in agonizing detail. They show you how to get the most bang for your buck with whatever form of advertising you decide to use and even go over free advertising methods, such as article marketing, that work wonders.

They leave absolutely no stone unturned.

Look, I have a very good reputation on the Internet. If you look up my name on Google, you’ll find over 650 pages about me and almost nothing bad to say about me, except maybe I can be a bit opinionated at times. It’s a character flaw that I’m working on. Point is, I’m not going to damage that reputation by raving about something that isn’t what I say it is. Nitro Marketing IS the real deal.

However…not all is rosy in Roseland.

Nothing in this world is perfect…and Nitro Marketing Blueprint is NO exception.

See, as complete as this training is, that may be its biggest problem. Why do I say that? Because most marketers like myself, don’t really need a lot of this stuff because we know a good part of it, those of us who are already successful. The ones who need it the most are those who are totally clueless and just starting out. But that’s where the problem lies. See, if you’re starting from scratch, this amount of information can be overwhelming to say the least. A new person is likely to drown in it and ultimately become so overwhelmed that they end up doing nothing with it because it’s simply too much for them. This is the danger of Nitro Marketing Blueprint.

It is for THIS reason that I do NOT recommend this to somebody just starting out. Instead, go pick yourself up a solid ebook on affiliate marketing and learn some basics of promoting products online, just to get your feet wet. Then, after you have made a few bucks, and it shouldn’t take you more than a month or two, come back to the Nitro Marketing site and at least view the videos, which are free, so you can get a better picture of what it’s about and where the missing pieces come in.

Believe me, I am speaking from experience. The info in this training is just too extensive to be taken in by a total novice. But with just a little experience beforehand, you’ll be able to fit the pieces of this package together quite nicely.

Nitro Marketing Blueprint is the only product I have found in 4 plus years of marketing online that I can truly say will teach you everything you need to learn to earn a solid income online.

Just take your time getting to it.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim

For practically every kind of business you can imagine, you can be certain that you can locate them on the Internet. Online businesses are a requirement in our time. All sorts of businesses are using online marketing. Is your business lagging behind? Moving in the direction of the Internet will lead to more profits beyond that of the time-honored brick and mortar business.

Setting up your business on the Web is the first step. Making it successful is an extra effort. Given the countless possibilities of the Web, there is little doubt that rival businesses are already online. Because online competition is often stiff, getting your share of the online market is becoming harder every day. For some business sectors this is an enormous challenge. But, it is realistic and not impossible.

Your first task entails building a web site. This would be an additional topic, and there are many resources to help you do this.

Once your business website is online, you should let other Internet users to know about your business website so they will visit your business website. This means you should actively promote your business website. This can be done in a number of ways. One attractive tactic is through article marketing.

Article marketing, of course, starts with an article. You’ll need to write about some aspect of your business, product line, or service. You ought to examine all your products, the value of using them and the problems they help overcome. You can almost certainly write a number of articles about each specific benefit of any product or service you provide. This gives you ample opportunity to produce a number of excellent articles associated with the offerings on your site.

Of course, articles with content related to your site is what’s important here. People who read one of your articles and are interested in the content of the article are precisely the prospects you want to come to your site. These visitors are called targeted visitors. They represent quality traffic.

Along with each article you write, you’ll have a resource box where you will advertise your website and provide one or two links pointing to your site. Authors usually offer additional assistance regarding the subject of the article on their website. You can even promise a complimentary report filling in the details your article could only gloss over. This is successful at getting interested readers to click to your website.

Once your writing is done, you’ll then distribute your article. You can distribute your article to some article directories or arrange with an article distribution service to present your article to article directories for you. Once your article is distributed, various newsletter publishers or website owners may choose your article. Newsletter publishers are seeking content for their newsletters and can include your article in an edition of their newsletter. Website owners frequently want additional content for their websites and can republish your article on their websites.

Article directories catalog your articles to an appropriate subject area. The vast majority of these article directories have a search capability to help their users look for articles with particular keywords. Your article should have widely used keywords in the title or in the article itself to make it easier to find. These are the same keywords that Internet users use to search for what they want in both article directories and search engines.

The search feature of article directories allows people interested in getting content for their website or newsletter to speedily locate what they need. And, if they are looking for articles connected to your topic, your article has the prospect for further distribution.

Consequently, what precisely does all this accomplish for you?

The more publicity your article receives across the Web, the more targeted traffic you will get. And, as your articles show up on more and more websites, the greater the interest search engines show in your article and in the links to your website. Your website will rise in the search engines for important keyword phrases. This also results in more quality visitors to your website.

In short, article marketing is an efficient technique of generating targeted traffic and providing links pointing to your business website. Your articles, themselves, will motivate interested readers to visit your website. The links pointing to your website, displayed on sites using your article, will help search engines discover the subject of your site and the number of links will boost its perceived level of significance.

In order for your online business to prosper, you must have a constant flow of traffic to your business site. If you want to flourish, draw ever more traffic to your business site by writing and distributing more articles. Do not undervalue the effectiveness of articles. They tell all potential online customers about your business. Do not settle for only a small number of articles. The more articles, the more traffic your business website will realize. And, the more money you will make.
