When you write blog posts or articles for your business, you need them to be stellar. You want people to be so wowed by your knowledge that the thought of calling anyone else is gone. Here are some quick tips to make sure that people love to read your content.

Think about what you like and want to read. If you wouldn’t want to read your own content, chances are no one else would either. Put yourself in the mind of your target prospect and write directly to them.

Keep your sentences short and to the point. No one needs to know about your amazing English literature skills. They just want to get the information in as concise a manner as possible. Don’t go on and on needlessly.

It is critical that you check and re-check your spelling and grammar before publishing your work. If you make mistakes and people see them, you will risk looking uneducated and uninformed. If you don’t spell well or you don’t know your comma from your semicolon, please get someone to proofread your work.

Be unique in your content. Don’t write what everyone else in your niche is writing. Don’t give the same old advice that your readers have heard for years. Being different will bring you way more followers and fans than doing the same thing as your competition.

Write out a list of what you want your main points to be before you start writing your content. This will help you stay on track and ensure that you cover everything you want to.

Use images in your articles to break up the black and white content. People hate reading long blocks of text, so use images, bullet points and subheadings. Your great content does not good if no one wants to read it because it looks too long.

Keep your content conversational. Don’t sound like a college professor when you are writing. Instead, write like you are chatting with a customer over a cup of coffee. This will bring people into your content and get them engaged.

Do not try to sell things in your content. It is critical that you use content to inform, engage and build a relationship. You want to become the credible expert in your niche. Don’t appear as if you are a salesman (or woman, as the case may be).

Make your information interesting. Talk about controversial topics if you need to, but make it interesting. No one seeks out boring content!

Develop your own unique voice. Don’t try to be someone else; you have your own unique personality and voice so use it!

As you can see, article marketing is not about magic or secret methods. It’s about developing your voice and being interesting in your delivery. Once you showcase your skills, you will be well on your way to creating a massive group of fans!

The importance of articles in today’s web sites are immeasurable. They can literally dictate the success and drive of traffic onto a site.

Article marketing has become a key element in making a site worthy to the owner and to earn a profit. In the hustle and clutter of websites, smart marketers need the base knowledge to include articles in their outreach – both on site and off.

Articles have been known to be a central force in driving traffic to a website for a variety of reasons. Articles can help a site achieve high rankings in search result pages. The higher a site ranks the bigger slice of the traffic flow pie he gets as lots of traffic often results in more profits or potential for profit.

This not about stuffing your site with articles, there are other aspects to consider for maximum benefit. As an example, a well written article catches the attention and interest of your customers and keep them coming back for more or recommend your site to others.

Below you will read about four aspects all articles should employ to make this marketing strategy successful.

Keywords and Keyword Phrases

An article must always be centered on the keywords and keyword phrases. As each website visitor goes to a site, there are those who are just merely browsing but actually looking for a specific something. When this happens, a searcher usually goes to a search engine and types in the keywords they are looking for (e.g. Toyota Camry, Meningitis, Tax Lawyer and Etcetera). It could be anything they want.

The important thing is that you have an article that has the keywords that are related to your site.

For example, if you maintain an auto parts site, you must be able t have articles about cars and their parts. There are many tools in the internet that provide service in helping a webmaster to determine what keywords and keyword phrases are most often searched for.

Keyword Density

Once you know your keywords and keyword phrases, you must use them fully. An article should have good keyword density for a search engine to recognize it as valuable to readers. Articles should at least have eight to ten percent of keyword density in their content for search engines to rank a site high in their search results. Getting a high rank is what articles do best for a site.

Keyword density is the number of times a keyword or keyword phrase is used on an article. The number varies depending on the number of words used in an article.

An effective article must have a keyword density that is not too high or too low. With a very high density, the essence of the article is lost and may turn off a reader as well as the search engines. It comes off as over eager or ‘stuffed’. A low number may be ignored by the search engines.

Good Article Content

As stated above, you cannot just riddle an article with keywords. They must also be regarded as good reading materials. Articles must be able to entertain people as well as provide helpful information. Articles should be written well with correct spelling and good grammar. If you want people to trust you, make your work good and well thought out.

People respond well to figures, facts and statistics. Try to get great information and as many facts as you can. A good and well written article will boost your reputation as an expert in your chosen field or topic. As more people believe in you they will be able to trust you and your products.

Linking Articles

Another important aspect of article marketing is to submit articles to ezines and/or article directories, don’t ever forget to include a link to your site. A little resource box with a brief description of your site should always be placed at the end of each article. If people like your articles, they will most likely click on the link directing them to your site to learn more.

On the internet, keywords are terms or words that relate to particular topics. Keyword research will involve various aspects, such as finding sales oriented keywords or driving maximum qualified users to increase their online sales.

Keyword research is the first step towards a successful search engine optimization campaign. You have to be very careful when selecting keywords, as it can be very tricky to select targeted keywords for a website.

The selection of keywords should always be based on various aspects such as product names, services, brands, or general terms. Often times, people forget about targeting geographical terms when they have global presence.

When doing keyword research, it’s highly recommended to do a very thorough market research analysis to find the best keywords used by search engines to find products and services online – and find out what keywords are targeted by competitors who are doing well in marketing on the internet.

The first step in finding the best keywords is to make a list of the products, topics, and services that you offer. You can also make good use of your website logs to know which keywords have brought you the traffic in the past.

Be sure to select keywords that clearly define your business and products to drive traffic from the search engines. There are some websites which get high levels of traffic through general keywords although they might not end up being sales.

Today, users of search engines are aware of how they work, for searching products and services on the net. Users always look for the better products, locations, etc. Therefore, you should cover all terms for each – products, locatins, etc.

There are numerous tools available which will help you identify keywords that are suitable for search engines. The challenge here, is to determine which keyword is the best to generate traffic.

Chances are you’ve heard the phrase “find your niche” more than once. But what does it really mean? Niche Marketing generally refers to the development of a monetized website intended to have a specific appeal to sub-mainstream markets. Most niche marketing websites are usually monetized with a mixture of Google Adsense and affiliate products.

Niche marketing is often considered an ideal venture for new marketers. This is because there is generally less competition in highly specific niches, which usually translates to lower operating and advertising costs. Choosing the right niche can also enable a new marketer to establish themselves as an expert while gaining valuable experience in the world of Internet marketing.

A profitable niche must meet a few requirements. The stronger each aspect is, the more profitable the niche can be. It comes down to “supply and demand”. First, it’s important that there are a good number of people actively searching for the information that your niche will be providing (i.e. high demand). Second, you’ll want to be sure that your niche does not have a lot of other websites targeting it (i.e. low supply). And finally, you’ll need to make sure there is money in your market. This all involves research.

Looking for a niche market should begin with a brainstorming session about things that you have some experience with or an interest in. Keep in mind, enjoying the niche you choose is always a plus as it will help you maintain your focus when building your business. Checking out your ideas on websites such as “Yahoo Buzz”, “AOL Hot Searches”, and “eBay Pulse” will give you a jump start on finding out if there is a high demand for them.

Keyword research is the absolute best way to drill down your niche into smaller, more specific sub-topics. Using the free keyword search tool offered by Wordtracker will assist with this. It will provide you with an estimated daily search volume for a given word and offer you suggestions for other words related to it. For example, doing a search for a topic like “recipes” will allow you to discover what types of recipes are being searched for and approximately how many people per day are searching for them.

Doing a search on Google, Yahoo, and MSN for each of your newly drilled down keywords (in quotes) is the next step. The top of each page will tell you exactly how many results contain that keyword. Remember, we are looking for a niche with a good number of searches but not too much competition. Also, take note of the number of Adwords ads that appear during your Google word searches. It’s important that you can confirm that advertisers are willing to pay for traffic for these words if you are planning on using Google Adsense on your new niche website.

Finally, you will need to find out if there are affiliate program available for your niche market. There are affiliate programs for almost everything these days, so the odds are in your favor. Checking affiliate networks such as Clickbank and Commission Junction are good places to begin. Simply doing a search for your keywords with the words “affiliate program” included will also give you a good idea of what’s out there.

Once you have compiled all of your information you should have a good idea of possible niche markets and if they have the potential to be profitable for you. The final decision on which niche market to target can be based on the highest search count, the least competitors, the highest number of Adwords ads or a combination of all of these factors. Finding the perfect balance between search volume and competition is up to you. Once you find your niche, you can move onto building your website to capitalize on it as effectively as possible. Be prepared. Niche marketing often results in big profits and tremendous success!

Marketing to a mass market can be extremely expensive. Most of the time you cannot target your perfect prospective customer properly because the market is too broad with wildly-different needs and desires. For example, if you make a living selling life insurance, selling your product to a group of people interested in “insurance” would be ineffective. Some need car insurance. Others need homeowner’s insurance. Still others need health insurance. To be more effective at selling your product you need to focus on a market within a market. You need to focus on niche marketing. This article will provide three tips you can use to start marketing to a niche.

Identify Your Niche Market

Whatever product or service you are selling, you can likely dig deeper and identify a segment of the broad market. Using the example above, your segment or “niche market” would be those people who specifically want to buy life insurance. However, you can continue to dig deeper by separating the segments of people who want to buy a whole life insurance policy and those who want to buy a term insurance policy. Each of these niche markets have different needs. Speaking to those respective needs is far more effective than speaking to the needs of a broad market.

Reach Your Niche Market

Once you have identified your niche market, you need to figure out how to put your message in front of them. Most niche markets are comprised of people who congregate amongst each other. For example, those people who have suffered the experience of having a spouse cheat on them share their experiences with each other on several online forums devoted to the subject. If you are selling a product or service targeted to that niche market, you can easily reach them there.

Also, you can reach a niche market easily through advertising on the search engines. Using the “cheating spouse” example above, you can advertise on Google using their Adwords program. When someone types “catch my cheating spouse” into Google, your ad can be displayed. This can be a very effective way of reaching a tightly-focused niche market.

Speak To Your Niche Market

After you have identified your niche market and discovered ways to reach out to them, you need to create a selling process that converts prospects into paying customers. As mentioned above, every niche market has unique needs and desires. It is easier to speak to those unique needs and desires if you focus on a small segment of a market.

For example, assume you are promoting a dating service. Your selling process to convert men into paying customers will likely be far different than your process of converting women. Each gender has different needs that you can speak to if you divide the market. Further, each gender often responds differently to various selling techniques. Segmenting a market into small niches gives you the opportunity of speaking to each niches’ unique needs.

Niche marketing is about focusing in on a segment of a market. You can accomplish that by first identifying the group of people within a broad market who have similar needs or desires. Then, you need to find ways of reaching out to that niche market of people to expose them to your product or service. Lastly, you need to create a selling process that speaks to your niche market’s unique needs and desires. If you follow those tips, you may be surprised at how easily you are able to convert your prospects into customers.

When you own a company, your business (along with all other businesses of the world) will aim advertisements toward a particular niche market. You can see it with big-name companies all the time. Many companies will carefully and purposely target certain market areas to get the most out of their programs/services. They’ll even take on diverse market niches for every product/service they have.

What does this mean? Take Lexmark, as an example. This company has all kinds of home/office machines available including all-in-one inkjet print/fax/scanner products but the company also targets larger businesses for their more expensive one-function products.

When you do niche marketing it can be very effective… money wise. Think of it this way: you have a product/service that’s perfect for a certain ethnic and/or demographic group. You decide to market to this particular ethic market using the radio stations and televisions that only cater to this group of people. It’s likely to cost you a lot less than if you were to market to a wider range of people. This means your advertising budget can go further, thus allowing you to advertise more often or use more media to get your message across.

What does your company need to know before it seeks a fresh niche market? Well, if you want to expand your business, there are three rules to bear in mind.

Rule 1 – Meet The Markets’ Needs In A Unique Way

When you have a new product, you must have some kind of benefit attached that will help the market. What does your product/service have that consumers will want? Make sure you recognize that niche market’s unique needs and design your product/service to satisfy them.

Consider different variations of your product/service; what can it offer that would appeal to the market? If you want to expand your market, you’ll need to think of innovative ways to do this. For instance, you’re a shampoo inventor and after some trials and tribulations, you finally designed a shampoo product just for swimmers. The shampoo is designed to carefully rid the hair of chlorine, great for swimmers or people who have lots of chlorine in their water/shower. This means you’ve created a product designed for a particular niche market.

Rule 2 – Watch What You Say

When you’re looking to get into a particular market, you need to cater to their language. This means you need to know what buttons to push and prepare yourself to talk as you would as if you were one of them, not as an outsider. Company slogans are often good examples of this issue. If your company is trying to market to a new niche, you might have to change your slogan especially if you find it translates poorly into the market’s language.

Even if the language barrier does not hamper a market niche, it’s still rather important to understand the market’s main concern and how they would like to correspond with your business. Suppose you’re a women’s clothing business and you’ve decided to expand your market to include a men’s line of clothing. Men tend to shop online like women do so you’ll need to cater your website to this market by changing the way you communicate with your website and your advertisement messages. By doing this, you’ll increase your revenue from the new market niche.

Rule 3 – View and Test The Current Market

Before you do anything in the new market, determine what your competitors are doing and how well you would do against those companies. You can do this by looking at their websites, ads and brochures. Look for their main selling issues, delivery, pricing and any other service characters.

There are times, however, that there may be no competition in the market. What do you do then? While you may believe it’s a good sign, this isn’t always so. It’s true that no other market has moved in with a product/service that the market would want to purchase. However, there’s a high probability that different businesses have tried to move in the market, with failing results. Make sure you test the market to see how receptive they are to your product/service. You want to keep risks manageable during this time.

Handling a vast business and catering to a huge customer base is a tricky task. There are loads of things you need to pay attention to and this might be detrimental to your enterprise. If you are on the verge of setting up your own business, you will do well to start with a carefully selected target market. This will help you to concentrate on the quality of your service and hence make you a trusted name in the concerned business field. Niche marketing, which is what this is called, is essential if you want your business to meet success.

One of the most important things that you need in a business is focus. Especially when you are just about to begin, you need to zero in on a single segment of the population that you want to cater to. If, on the other hand, you think of providing your services to a wide audience, your focus can become dissipated and diffused. That’s the last thing that you will ever want, isn’t it?

If you are wondering how you should go about niche marketing, the following steps can get you started on the journey.

1.	Your first task is to identify your area of focus in the market place. What are you good at? What is it that makes you different from the others? What do you think you can do best to woo the customers in your favor? These are the questions you should be clear about when identifying your niche market. It’s almost like recognizing your USP and then capitalizing on it. This is true for every business domain. Niche marketing can then help you in reaching out to your target audience. If you are doing what you are good at, it will reflect on the quality of your services. So rather than being a ‘Jack of all Trades and Master of None’, be the Jack of one trade but be its master!

2.	When you have settled on your niche, the second step is to set your goals. Having a definite aim is crucial for all business ventures. The desire to reach the aim motivates and inspires you to work harder towards it. Hence, before you start off, pan out every detail and have a goal which will propel you forward. This will also make it easier for you measure your progress.

3.	There are certain keywords that characterize every niche market. Make sure that you use the right keywords in your marketing strategy. This will help you to put your message across to the right audience.

4.	Create your website keeping in mind the keyword or phrases. The content should be designed in a way that includes the keywords more than once. This will ensure that most people get through to your website when they search with that particular keyword/phrase.

5.	Once you have created a website, you have to make sure that it gets the maximum traffic. Establish a link structure both within your site and outside it. You can take help of other related websites for back links or post links to social networking sites which are frequently visited by surfers.

Niche marketing can be extremely helpful, if you recognize its importance and focus around it accordingly.

Infiltrate any niche you want with a proven, paint by numbers marketing plan by Christopher Freville that quickly allows you to dominate niche markets

Over the past few months, I’ve seen quite a few fearful sounding forum threads where some people seem incredibly worried about the bad world economy and it’s impact on being able to make a money online. Well, it’s still possible to find profitable niches…

Sure…there are clearly niche markets that are going to fall off the map in rough financial times. But at the same time, there’s plenty that are going to remain very stable or even do much better during a bad economy.

So how do you go about niche marketing when the economy sucks and everyone’s feeling pain at the pump?

It just takes a shift in thinking…

Consider these 5 key factors:-

1. Niches where people NEED to spend money. In other words…staple products people have to buy regardless of what’s going on. (Example: Students have to buy books for college classes…or people who have health problems they need to spend money on regardless of the economy)

2. Niches where I can help people save money. (Example: VOIP or calling cards to save money on phone bills)

3. Niches where an essential problem needs to be solved or fixed. (Example: People have computer software/hardware problems that need correcting to keep their PC from going kaput)

4. Niches that don’t require people to actually spend money. (Example: Getting an auto quote or signing up for a free credit report service)

5. Niches where people are dealing with any kind of highly emotional or motivational issue that simply overrides anything going on with the economy. (Example: Love, Divorce, Legal Help, etc.)

Bear in mind though, people will also still spend money on non-essential things in a bad economy. You see, the reality is most people are hardly rational about how they spend money, especially when it comes to things they’re highly passionate about.

But if you’re worried at all about the economy and want to “recession proof” your Affiliate Marketing business…make a simple shift in your thinking and consider the motivational factors I listed above when you’re out there niche marketing in a bad economy.

Dave Brown is co-owner of the AffiliateNicheClub, a club dedicated to helping affiliate marketers find profitable niches to promote!

You may have heard about the notion of niche markets. If you are an affiliate marketer, you need to know about niche markets. Affiliate marketing will work very well with niche markets and some people even believe that you will not be able to make money with affiliate marketing if you are not aiming at any niche market.

First of all, you may be curious why there are so many people who join the world affiliate marketing everyday. This is because most of them do not like a nine to five job. They do not want to travel for an hour to the office everyday. And they do not need to do so if they work as an affiliate marketer.

<!--

ch_height = 120;

ch_vertical ="premium";
ch_sid = "Chitika Premium";
var ch_queries = new Array( );
var ch_selected=Math.floor((Math.random()*ch_queries.length));
if ( ch_selected < ch_queries.length ) {
ch_query = ch_queries[ch_selected];
}

As an affiliate marketer, you can choose the location where you work. If you like, you can work on the desk in your bed room and this will become your home office. You may even work in a nice cafeteria. The only requirement is that you need to have a computer with internet access. There is no extra requirements besides this. If you are willing to work hard and put more effort on your affiliate sites, the chance is that you can earn more out of them.

There are some people who tend not to work in the field of affiliate marketing since they think that there are some better alternatives. They may choose to create some Google Adsense websites. Yes it is true that it may only take you half an hour to build such a site. And you may need to spend a week in order to create your affiliate site. You have to understand that the earnings from Adsense can only be a few dollars everyday.

However, it is not the case of affiliate marketing. If you join the high paying affiliate programs it possible earning will be up to $180 per each sale. This is a really huge amount! And it is equivalent to the earnings in 60 days if the earnings from Adsense is $3 everyday.

As discussed, niche markets and affiliate marketing is a perfect match. You will be able to make quite a large amount of money if you do well in niche markets. You may probably wonder if you can also do that with main stream markets. The answer is a NO. It is because it will be just next to impossible for you to do it well in the main stream markets. There are just too many competitions.

You can consider the following example. You are working on 8 niche markets, and you can be able to dominate in these markets. The chance is that you can at least make one sale per niche. Say you can make $100 for each sale you make. You will be able to get $800 everyday. This is quite a large amount for an average person. And you may even make more money if it is during the Christmas time.

As a result, you need to research for the most underrepresented yet high demanding markets and try to work on it. Of course it will take you some time to work on it. However, you will know it is worth doing that when you see the cash flowing to your bank account.
