2. The competition for this niche should be at a minimum level. The lower the competition, the better.

3. A suitable affiliate program for this niche or product should be available. And, the payout and the percentage commission for this program should be attractive enough for you to take the trouble of promoting it.

4. Create a comprehensive list of key phrases for this product that you plan to promote. It would be better if the key phrases are long tail or mid tail. Short keywords will not be suitable for promotion as the competition for those keywords will be very high.

5. Create a landing page for the affiliate product that you plan to promote. The landing page should be a pre-sell page with lot of useful information about the product and/or company that is manufacturing it. This landing page should not have the tone of a sales page.
