Where Will You Go?

Personal Journey
Last night at Tribal Council one of the players said, (paraphrasing because I wasn’t paying close attention), “I’m not going to try to kid you – we’re going through hell.” His tribe looked at him like he was crazy.
It’s all a question of what you’ve focused on, your attitude, who you listen to…
It’s the same in the marketing, website promotion, getting more traffic, making money online, selling products, world.
Reading comments like ‘crap sells’ and ‘they’ll never use the stuff anyway’ has dragged me down. I’ve read too much of it. I’ve often found myself lost in it. It is not what this ‘job’ or ‘life’ is about.
Since Christmas I’ve been in quiet reflection. “How can we really help each other?” “What products or services truly benefit our work online?”
That’s why, if you’re on my list, you haven’t had many emails from me:
- I’ve been in personal contact by email with you (one on one attention is a great way to help another);
- I’ve been largely incapable of finding any new product that you really need, (other than knowledge based products that really make a difference to your time and income online); and
- I’ve been sharing techniques that others find too hard to teach.
And now I’ve got the nerve to leave you!
It’s just for 10 days or so…
- I realize that there are a lot of people who rely on me to share views, give assistance and honestly review site promotion products.
- I realize that sometimes you want fast answers on a blog. Sometimes you need very lengthly answers in a personal email.
- I realize that sometimes you just need to vent, or share your excitement, or flaunt your profits for the month.
And I love doing it all, seeing it all, and going through it all with you.
I do.
But for the next while your emails and comments will be unanswered.
If you can wait for me, that’s great! I’ll be back in 10-12 days.
If you can’t wait for me, then let me pass on my personal favorite contacts who will help, who will answer questions, who have great information to share, who will move you forward in your online adventure.
Blogs and WordPress – Sherman Hu. You’ve got blogging questions? WordPress issues? Sherman’s the guy to go to. Not only is his product the absolute best of anything I’ve seen on blog mechanics – hosting, set up, optimization, plugins, customizing, and more – but Sherman also covers video-casting, pod-casting, ghost blogging… I don’t think he sleeps. But I do know this is a man I trust my readers with 100%. I believe you have to sign up for a backstage pass to his tutorials and with that comes the url to his wordpress blog – it’s a free sneak peak with lots of content. Go there and see why I recommend Sherman so highly – you’ll find integrity-rich website promotion experts, like Michael Campbell and Ken McCarthy, raving about him.
Google – Big changes are afoot right now with organic search traffic coming from google (traffic you don’t pay for). You need to know about these changes. That’s why yesterday I sent you over to Matt Cutts’ blog. Matt is a google employee, that link is to his personal blog. There’s nothing to buy but lots to learn. Search for the BigDaddy posts – it may all seem more ‘geek’ than you feel you can manage so I’ll report more on this when I return, in layman’s terms. Suffice it to say that more sites will be affected when the updates are worldwide.
Niche Marketing – I’m at a loss right now where to send you. You might want to check out Phil Wiley’s new affilliate forum. I saw some names in there that I trust, but I haven’t spent any time in the forum nor do I know how active Phil is within. I had a quick look at the member’s list and found some hard working bloggers and niche marketers in there.
