About Smartzville, USA®
The name was born from a
sarcastic comment out of the mouth of a
redneck pal trying to tell me that I
needed to ditch my 'city girl ways' and wake up to
the reality of 'smarter', country living...
"Wise up! You're in Smartzville now!"

Smartzville's Beliefs, Mandate and Mission Statement
"I believe everyone should have a fair shot at discovering their potential. The internet has helped make that journey possible for tens of thousands of people worldwide.
I truly hope the free courses on this site help all who read them and who take the initiative and time to put to practice what they've learned and to then go on and make a success of themselves.
I'm trying my level best to do my part, helping others with website promotion while I earn a living online by:
- Giving my own fair and honest assessment of products, programs and techniques (as my time allows).
- Giving a fair and honest review, as well as rock bottom prices, on products I own master resale rights to. So that others may make enter the field of selling online and earn a profit with integrity.
- Offering my personal help, as time allows, to many who email me asking for specific information or assistance for their own websites (trying to do this without robbing my family of our time together and continuing my own pursuits as well as community volunteer work). Please do not hesitate to ask specific questions if you need me.
Keep on Marketing!

Laura Childs
*As a result of my offerings I have ticked off a few nasty online marketers. It seems they don't like helping out the average person unless they get to make a buck off them. These marketers seem to have forgotten how hard it is to get started making a living online. If you find someone bashing my name, hold onto your wallets you've got a self-righteous and greedy marketer on your hands!
So, Where the Heck is Smartzville?
Smartzville, USA is actually located in Canada - more precisely on a small hobby farm in Ontario. On the barn hangs a weathered, big blue sign (just like the population signs you see on the highway here) that reads "Smartzville".
The business name was registered with the USA suffix as Smartzville's owner, Laura Childs, is 1/2 American at heart. Not only was Laura raised in Massachusetts, but she presently generates a large portion of her income from US based clients and customers.
Smartzville's Business Activities
Smartzville once held a number of large, as well as small, corporate clients. Everything from website design to promotion, managing large mailing lists for clients and re-purposing content for web-based learning. Since 2004 however, Smartzville's owner, Laura Childs, traded in her dollar-per-hour mentality and is now marketing online full time plus helping others in their quest to make money from home.
Laura Childs' Personal Activities
Personally Laura is a niche marketer, writer, and hobby artist - you can see some of my work on www.goodbyecitylife.com.
As an artist Laura paints custom seed packets for mass production (promotional), designs business cards, road advertising signs, farm signs, trendy house signs and a number of wall and floor murals.
As a niche marketer Laura has created 3 info products: Raising Chickens Right, Goats: Milk, Meat or Mohair and Pro Bread Secrets with more niche products and websites under a pseudonym.
As an internet marketer Laura is working on creating a series of books for online entrepreneurs.
A note from Laura Childs: "In 2007 after many promptings I have begun a personal blog. Life lessons, recent ramblings, and touching moments. My personal life is here: Laura Childs."
The Stampede Secret - Internet Marketing Ebook (Web 2.0)
"In early September of 2004, Laura Childs teamed up with Marketing Guru Joe Vitale and together they wrote and released The Stampede Secret, which explained to thousands of people worldwide how to use RSS Feeds and Blogs to generate a stampede of website traffic and new subscribers."
For two years I counted this as my greatest success and not just for financial reasons (goodness knows we gave many copies away). The success: through that website and ebook I made many new associates and friends who I still collaborate with today. This collaboration has brought my readers and I greater online success with even greater hopes for the future!
In late 2006 I removed the original Stampede Secret from the marketplace and replaced it with entirely new training material on how to achieve more website traffic with the new Web 2.0 trend. The ebook and updates are not cheap - this is not a set for beginners. For new marketers I offer many valuable traffic tips and techniques on the Web 2.0 traffic blog.
