If you’ve decided to hire writing talent, there are a number of good places to find writers who are happy to create your product for a fee. You can expect to spend about $150-$450 for a 50-80 page book.

Simply create your ad for an author at anyone of the services below, just mention the subject and estimated length, run your campaign for a week and choose the author you think is best suited for the job. (You might want to review past assignments or samples of their work on the site).

Buying Resale Rights to Other’s Products

There are a number of ways, techniques and places to sell products as a reseller. Here’s the basic ins-and-outs to the resale rights business online.

Three Types of Rights – Resell Rights, Reprint Rights and Master Rights

It’s important to state right here that due to the large number of marketers new to the game offering rights of all types their definitions of what they’re selling to you may be different. Just use the below as a general guideline – not as information carved in stone.

Resell Rights
This used to mean a one time payment followed by a smaller fee for every sale made. You had ‘rights’ but not exclusivity nor unlimited sales.

Reprint Rights
This rights option is the most popular type of rights offered and sold. You pay one fee up front. You can make as many copies as you want of the product or make as many online sales as you like. You never have to pay the author or owner another cent past the initial ownership fee.

Prices vary based on potential, product, target market, pre-set distribution and size.

Master Resale Rights
The mother lode! If you have master resale rights for a product you can do whatever you like with the product, at whatever price, to however many customers you choose to sell to. Furthermore you can go on to sell reprint rights licenses to others. Master rights may come with stipulations – rights with conditions. These may be a minimum price set by the original owner, a minimum quantity of resale licenses sold, when and where the product may or may not be sold, etc.

Repackage Resale Products for Stronger Appeal

It can be challenging to sell a product that has been sold to and distributed by many other savvy online business owners, but if you’ve got the right ‘touch’ you can turn ‘buying and selling reprint rights’ into a lucrative business all on it’s own.

One online entrepreneur that I’ve worked with personally sells packages of 30 or more ebooks at a time to his customers. The packages are highly unstructured, some of the ebooks open while others do not – but he sells the packages dirt cheap. The value for the money is decent and usually your investment can be made back in a few days just by selling the ebooks on ebay. Not to mention the fact that you’ll have access to the information for personal growth and use as well.

Reselling Products at Decent Prices

Of course any product line at a decent price – no matter how over-sold you may think it is – has best potential when it is presented with a fresh sales letter or different bonus products than originally offered. You must remember as well that many niches have a steady flow of newbie clients.

This is one of the reasons the internet marketing niche is such a hot niche – new prospects are consistently entering the field.

There is a definite plus in buying rights of any type to a product.

• If the information is in hot demand and competition is minimal – it will sell like crazy.
• If a tested marketing campaign and sales letter comes with the product – another plus.

A few considerations when buying rights to a product…

Find out how many other rights licenses have been sold. If too many licenses will be or have been sold, your competition may just be too fierce.

Carry out some research to ensure the target market is a spending market. See my article on "What will people buy online?" for more details.

Ask about stipulations, restrictions and limitations in the licensing. You want to see the seller setting some hard and fast rules such as whoever buys rights cannot give the product away for free. The product may not be sold for less than $x.xx, and so on.
